Researching Above the Line marketing methods -

One music TV channel that uses ATL advertisement is MTV one type of ATadvertisement they use is TV adverts these are useful for MTV as many people watch TV and they don’t have to specialise which channel they put the ads on as they can just place them on all channels. Another way MTV can advertise themselves is via posters that can be place on a bus for example these busses are good as they’ll usually travel around a whole city and make thousands of people see the advertisement. Another way that MTV use ATL is sponsorships an example is that they could sponsor a few of the biggest social media influencers and they could inform people about MTV and this is very beneficial as you can just sponsor anyone and ask them to share and inform about your product. A music tv news channel that I can talk about is BBC music one method of ATL they can use is Radio sponsorships this is a good method as BBC have a radio as well. Another way that BBC music could use ATL is by doing TV advertisements and this will be beneficial as they can just advertise on any channel they like. Another way BBC music could advertise themselves is by having in store adverts for example they could have posters of BBC music or Televisions in the store that are playing the BBC music advert.

The way the bus wrap is a great advertisement is because it travels around a city meaning multiple people will see it and the reason and this use of synergy is extremely effective as many people will see the advert which'll maximize the amount of people to see the advert. The way TV advertisements will reach the audience via branding as MTV use a very well known logo so by using branding the audience will recognise them. Another way the advertising could reach the audience is via social influencer brand deals this would be horizontal integration as MTV the influencers would usually be music artist and fans of these artist would start to watch the show as they'd wanna see their favourite artist on a TV show. A way BBC music's advertisements will reach their audience is through radio and this would be synergy as people who most listen to BBC music listen to it on radio. Another BBC music could have their program advertised is by putting up in store posters as many people who go to stores usually go by car so this could influence them to listen to BBC music while they travel back home.


Research below the line marketing methods-

 One music TV show that uses below the line marketing is MTV for example they make magazines and these are effective as it only draws in the people that are interested in  MTV, this method of advertisement is below the line because it doesn't advertise to a massive audience. Another below the line marketing method that MTV use are sponsorships with certain social influencers and this is below the line as mainly the fans of that influencer will see the sponsorship. Another below the line method is direct mail to fans this could be that fans sign up for a weekly newsletter or something similar and this means it'll only reach fans. Another method of below the line is search engine advertising this is when a computer gathers information based on what you like and then shows adverts of MTV and this is very beneficial as it might bring in more people into the fan base as it is based on their likes.


One Music Tv channel that uses below the line marketing is NME, NME use below the line marketing such as magazine Adverts and radio announcements these are extremely effective ways of marketing as it'll reach an audience who already has an interest in their content another method is social media interest for example the app TikTok which gathers peoples interest such as music and shows the 1 min clips of a relevant subject and this is a good method to advertise the TV program another methods could be partner with another company such as a food or drink company and this will benefit both company's as they are both being promoted this is synergy because this maximizes the potential profits as its a cross media promotion. Another method that can be used is a cookies marketing this is where you accept cookies on a website then the data saves and so your search bar will recommend it as it is viable to you because of your interest in the matter.
