KTA 8 Equipment needed to film TV & Health and Safety

Task One- Tips to film outside (On location)

First thing to do is check the weather on the forecast to see if  it will rain you should also bring the equipment to protect the equipment in case the forecast is wrong examples include Camera covers to stop the water from damaging the equipment.

One thing to enhance your filming is by using the sun as a backlight this type of effect would be used in a romantic type scene to emphasise the emotions.

Use microphone which clip on to the person that will be talking this allows the person to able to talk and have clear audio without any of background noise that would be captured by a normal mic.

Avoid auto focus in outdoor shots as trees that you eat blurred out could focus instead leaving your subject blurred and leaving you with unwanted footage and making you have to redo that footage.

To keep your equipment running properly place all your equipment next to an AC if it was raining at the time, the AC with dehumidify it allowing you to safely pack it away.

Incase of high wind speeds consider investing in stabilisers for your camera kit not only will you camera stay stable while filming it will reduce the chance of your equipment falling and possibly getting damaged you should also check the audio before recording in the wind to see if the audio is effected if so try and figure out ways to fix it and if that can't happen just pack up and film another day with less wind.

In hot conditions your equipment might overheat if exposed to the sun for a large amount of time to avoid this pack cloths and place them on the equipment
